"Hoe, Don't Do It"
Prompt: Send me “Hoe, don’t do it” for my muse to do something completely ridiculous.
Book:
*+╰【■ ✎ ■】╮+* “JERONIMO!!” Lavi yells at the top of his lungs as he jumps off the edge of a cliff and down into the ocean fully-clothed–their first glimpse after perhaps about a year. They’d walked far enough that they reached the Atlantic Ocean–miles upon miles upon miles of traveling after being outed of their home because of the walking dead they brought back.
They deserved a break after Allen started to go about saving the world again, though.
The redhead can be heard yelling at the bottom because he did a little body-slam on the water at the bottom.

Me:
“Good grief…”
Lavi sure was bursting with enthusiastic energy, if he was throwing himself off cliffs to go swimming. Energy that Allen couldn’t say he shared at the moment.
Sure, he was at least somewhat used to their constant, nomadic moving around by now, but it was still tiresome. On the flip side, maybe the cold water would soothe some of his aches, the white-haired lad weighing his options.
“You’d better not start drowning,” Allen called, cupping a hand halfway around his lips. “Because I’m not saving your ass!”

Book:
“GONNA DIE!!” Lavi shouts from the bottom, then going underwater and swimming toward shore to hopefully NEVER do that again.
Me:
Allen rolled his eyes fondly and glanced around for another way down to the shore. One that didn’t involve jumping into the water like Lavi. Getting down was relatively easy. Getting back up was going to require either some climbing or walking the beach a while.
Suffice to say, Lavi clawing his way back to shore looking like a drown rat was a sight worth seeing. He couldn’t help but laugh a little.
“You know there could’ve been sharks in that water or something. You might be lucky not to have been eaten by one.”

Book:
Coughing, Lavi flops his body on shore, not caring about all the sand that clings to his wet skin as he takes a few deep breaths, body still throbbing a bit from the body-slap he’d done to the water.
“I’m a genius, you can’t scare me, Beansprout!” he says, wondering if he should go back into the water to wash off the sand. He holds up a hand, silently asking for help to stand up.

Me:
“A ‘genius’ who just jumped off a cliff as soon as he saw it,” Allen teased. There were all kinds of other things that could have happened besides sharks as well, but they didn’t, so he omitted mentioning all the ways that could have gone wrong.
He grasped Lavi’s hand and helped hoist him to his feet, smirking as he internally tried to figure out which was funnier: Lavi looking half-drown or being coated almost head-to-toe in sand.
His attention soon wandered to the ocean and clear sky, only a few faint clouds dotting the expanse. The smell of salt water was quite overpowering, but the steady crash of the waves, continuing to ebb and flow with no notice to the rest of the world’s strife and chaos, admittedly inspired a certain sense of serenity.

“I almost forgot how nice being near the ocean is…”
BooK:
“It is pretty nice, though, ain’t it? I haven’t been near it for a while since all this nonsense happened. It’s a good break from tryin’ to save people.”
Especially since others tried to take it too far. That might have been wrong, saving Allen from that sort of fate, but the redhead was a selfish person who needed company–the last remaining person whom he feels can relate to him. They might have to wait sometimes for the white-haired teen to donate some of his immune blood, but it’s worth it if they even have to slowly save the world.

Me:
“Yeah…” Allen hummed in thoughtful agreement, closing his eyes for a moment and letting the breeze play with his hair.
He still had mixed feelings on what Lavi had done, but at the same time, he didn't wholly blame the redhead for it. Both of them had been through a lot, and he knew what it was to lose someone precious. The time they spent traveling, trying to figure out how he could help create a cure, only pushed them into growing closer than ever, into something deeply familial. Lavi was the closest thing he’d had to a real brother, just like Mana had been the closest thing to a father he had ever had, and Cross – though he was lament to admit it – a completely irresponsible, drunken, whoring uncle.
His thoughts entirely derailed as his stomach gave a guttural growl and he openly sighed, leaning his head against Lavi’s shoulder.

“Man I’m hungry…”
